However, I've been getting "tired" of my tamron. My tamron is wonderful but I am reading reviews on the 15-85 and it looks very promising....anyone think I should upgrade and that it is worth it? My camera ♥'s my dogs more than me...*sigh*

It depends whether you want a 'fast' lens or one with a better range, since you can always up the ISO I would choose the 15-85 every time particularly as you have the 50 f1.4 if speed is required. Frugal Senior Member  784 posts Joined May 2009 Location: Northern CA More info | I like the zoom range and very sharp IQ of my 15-85. When I want a wide aperture I use a prime. It's an ideal combination for me. Wide open, if you pixel peek there is small amount of CA at the ends of the zoom range and of course distortion at the 15mm end, but since I shoot RAW even DPP removes both. Richard
