I never get bored of shots like this and it looks super for having a 2x added on.
Would that be the new 2x Vince?

Thanks :)

And yeah I just picked one up and wanted to see how well it performed on the 70-200 2.8 MK II. I think it works pretty well. This series was shot with me running towards a good position (the wind was easy enough to read) and getting in place while it was coming in, I wasn't sure where it was going to hit as there were a few rodents running. So the speed of AF was pretty impressive considering the situation.

Its slower on the 300, but still nice if you're shooting on a tripod.

Slower on the prime huh Vince? I would have thought it be the other way around.
I did rent the new 70-200 2.8 and it is a great piece for sure. I didn't stick a TC on it though I was enjoying the IQ too much. Good to know, thanks!

Yeah considering its made for the new gen lenses it really shines on them, I suspect on the new 300's it'd be excellent. If you search out my Caracara shots you'll see it on the 300. The IQ is amazing but I had it seek focus a couple of times even though I had the distance limit set.
