I think it works pretty well. This series was shot with me running towards a good position (the wind was easy enough to read) and getting in place while it was coming in, I wasn't sure where it was going to hit as there were a few rodents running. So the speed of AF was pretty impressive considering the situation. Its slower on the 300, but still nice if you're shooting on a tripod. Slower on the prime huh Vince? I would have thought it be the other way around.

Mar 21, 2012 20:57 | #9 Yeah considering its made for the new gen lenses it really shines on them, I suspect on the new 300's it'd be excellent. If you search out my Caracara shots you'll see it on the 300. The IQ is amazing but I had it seek focus a couple of times even though I had the distance limit set. http://www.vincemaidensphotography.com
