For folks who can't, or do not want to, shell out the cash for a Promote Control, but want the full control it offers in a compact and portable package, consider this:

Make a $50 pledge of support to their Kickstarter project and get the goods. The Kickstarter site says the project funding deadline is early May and the $50 pledge gets you the cable you need in June. If this timeline fits, it seems like a versatile tool for anyone with an Android or iOS device.

Sounds cool, but I will have to wait for Windows Phone support.

This looks great to me. It is a fairly inexpensive way to fix a few shortcomings of our cameras. Count me in.
