I have to read more about mating eagles, today I visited them again and for several instances the female would chase the male away from the nest. The male had to land to a branch that is a bit far from the nest, and when the female left the nest, the male flew inside the nest.

This is the first instance that the male was chased away. He landed on this branch and the female jumped on him!

He landed on this branch after several tries.

This is when he flew inside the nest.

I was not able to take pics of the female flying away but the other fellow birder was able to get a very nice pics of her :)

Fine captures there Jo. I love the expression in the 2nd shot, 'What you looking at eh?' :)

Boy, I love how close you are able to get to these guys, Jo. Nesting behaviour is fun to figure out. Wonderful shots!

Nice job Jo. Great work on the focus with all those branches.

He landed on this branch and the female jumped on him!

Maybe she is a little confused on how its supposed to work! :)

Girlpowerrrrrr... yeah!!! :) Sorry, couldn't resist. More good shots, Jo. It most be so terrific to be able to watch them from this close, let alone photograph them.

Thanks Mark, I think I would give that look also specially after getting "dumped" by a girl :)

Thanks Craig :), but aren't we all? Or maybe the male have to do something romantic before jumping to bed!

All 3 very nice captures jodelak, and lucky you again for this opportunity.
It's amazing that such a big bird can fly around in the midst of all of those smaller limbs. That being said, you did a great job of keeping those out of your images. I really like the first 2 a lot; and the 2nd image just "screams" Eagle top to bottom. Very nicely done!
