I've been looking at all these videos and it has given me an idea and would like your guys take on it. I own a 5d mkII and some L lenses. I currently shoot still real estate photography with the 17mm TS-E. I'm going to assume that the 17mm won't work cuz it doesn't have autofocus. I was thinking about doing video of the homes I shoot. Besides my tilt shift, I own a 24-105. Would this be a good wide angle or should I look into the 14mmL? I know real estate agents use video tour website host and 360 website hosts and put a link on there website to view videos. I think these look cheap and think it would be cool if I bought a glide cam and walked throughout the house. Is this a dumb idea? Anybody got any links where people do this in there real estate market?

I don't think this is a dumb idea at all. I was JUST talking to a good friend of mine about this as well. I have a Glidecam and would like to incorporate slider and jib shots into the videos. I think it would give it a more personal feel and I think it would be a great "package" to offer the sellers.

the only thing dumb is if you don't try. Set the expectation good luck and let us know.

For the interiors of a house I personally dont find 24mm to be wide enough. Pick up the 17-40L as that will get you the width and since youll want f/4 or smaller to increase the DOF, which can be tough shooting video with DSLRs, itll help there too.
