Camera bag - Tamrac 5587

Friend on facebook asked me this - "i'm looking at camera bags so i can travel with one bag instead of carrying my small bag and everything else individually. I want to make sure it's large enough for future "expansion" Anyways, i'm looking at this Tamrac 5587, linked below, but wanted to get your input on this, or any others that might compare???? before I drop several hundred dollars for a bag. I want one that i can keep my 400mm attached in. Thanks!"

At the moment I believe he only owns a 400mm non is, a rebel, and a kit 18-55..
Anyone out there have any experience on this bag or would like to recommend something similar but cheaper?

I would recommend the Tamrac 5793. A 400 2.8 with a camera body is a load by itself. Add a decent tripod & gimbal and it'd probably be close to the maximum weight that anyone would want to carry very far. If needed, the Modular Accessory System makes it possible to attach a couple of extra accessories to the sides of the backpack.
