When I originally shot these, they were in a diagonal. Then, one of the owls moved up to the left and I thought "Oh no, get back where you were." Well it turned out to be a good composition, too. You can see the change in lighting between shots, eleven min. apart. I think I will change the white balance in the first and warm it up. Both are as shot.

wow you are finding them in thress all the time. Very cool. I like how they are all looking the same direction in the 2nd one. I dont understand why these owls like to sit in the open like this and others like my GHO's wont.

Fantastic shots. Looks like they are posing for you. Not sure what your paying them but, you'd better watch out for peta making them work like that they'll be knocking on your door. Make sure you have all the model release forms filled out and if any minors are involved you'd better have that adult signature.

You are killing me with these terrific shots, Rex ;) For some reason I like the first shot the most, with the one guy stretching a bit.

Beautiful shots, Rex. You must be a great Snowy Owl director as they are facing the camera beautifully. Perfect!

The three ladies are stunning Rex... rare and beautiful compositions to be sure... thanks for sharing these, as it is unusual for many of us to see just one.....

These are both beautiful shots Rex, I think I like the one on the right the best.

Good job getting them all in focus; I have trouble getting one bird in focus at a time.

Thank you, everybody.
NoA, these birds are tundra birds, not used to trees.
Good one, wolfmans.
Levina, They are always turning heads, opening, closing eyes, sleeping stretching, but hardly ever together. When it happens, let loose with the trigger.
Moose, I strive to get all the eyes in focus, not always successful, though. With these it helps that they are sedentary.
Thanks again for your comments.
Rex
