I did a quick search, but didn't find anything specific to my question.
What meter setting do you guys recommend for macro? I have a 450D which does have spot metering.

If it's full flash, typically 1/200, F11, ISO100, all the light is supplied by the speedlight, and it doesn't matter at night what metering mode you use. You just need to control your flash using flash exposure compensation: http://orionmystery.blogspot.com …ompensation-in-macro.html If you're shooting with natural light, just use evaluative mode and adjust EV (exposure compensation) depending on the background. Thank you for your helpful reply. Alan. flickr
