ok so my wife usually ends up with a P&S.. el cheapo that she can find...
well i broke hers... they all have been fujifilm cameras...

i broke it during a snowboarding accident.. it turns out it was on its way out and i thought i wasnt going to break it.. video is cool though!!! hah...

so im looking at these... $88 is in my price range.. cheap and going to start going canon for P&S... she wants it to fit in her pocket..

anything wrong with the $88 one? any reason to spend more???

I guess it might depend on what she's looking to do with it. My daughter has this camera, and it works perfectly well, and is capable of taking very good pictures. If all you want is something that will fit in your pocket at take quick snapshots, this will fit the bill.

I just picked up a Nikon s6300 for my wife and other family to use, etc. Easy and the color and detail are really nice for a p&s. The 6200 is still available and less $ as it doesn't have 3D. Have used many Sony ones over the years as well, but really happy with this one as is my wife lol.

We also have iPhones, but she likes having a p&s as well.

My better half very much likes her Sony Cyber-Shot. She has the WX-50 in black. Shoots pretty well in low light for a P&S

I wouldn't get the A2200 as it lacks image stabilization. THe A3300 is the next model up, which does have IS, but right now the ELPH 100HS is on sale for the same price. That's the one to get as it has 1080P video and the Backlit CMOS for good low light performance.

Apple has it for $99 right now as a clearance item: http://store.apple.com …27502&cid=AOS-US-AFF-FEED (external link)

Best buy has them for $110 if you prefer.

i second the 100hs. I saw it recently for about $110 at costco with carrying case and 4gb sd card. at $110, I wouldnt bother with similarly priced A series as the CMOS sensor on the 100hs is significantly better. Plus you get IS, and a more pocketable size.

300hs is slimmer and has a wider lens. Pretty much same camera otherwise.
