Don't mention any specific case at all, since it has no influence on One Shot AF whatsoever.

Sorry... My posts here are intended to help others. Why would mentioning an AF case bother you?

It doesn't, since I know that it's not relevant. But those you are really trying to help may not know, and then you are just confusing them, rather then helping them.

Oh I don't know about the confusion....I think most of the folks here are reasonably sharp and can sort things out.;) I can't tell you how much other useful info I've picked up from the random off-topic comment :D.

Almost every human is surprisingly intelligent, but it's also so that almost every human sometimes surprise you with the extent to which they've misunderstood something one may argue is pretty basic.

So don't make to many assumptions. If someone states that you can set the camera to One Shot AF and AF case 4, most people will think that the AF case you recommend has some kind of impact on the performance of One Shot AF, when it in reality hasn't.
There's always an AF case selected, since there's no void setting, but in One Shot AF, the case currently selected has no impact.

Certainly not a problem - there are some fairly complex functions here and many are not obviously clear or intuitive. Btw, hello from across the lake :D.

1. When focus selection is set to the joystick, pressing the joystick dead center, brings you to the center point. However, pressing it again, takes you back to your last focus point. Very useful for quick switching.

2. When Navigating through the Menu system, pressing the Q button will jump you to the next menu, so you dont have to scroll through sub menus.

3. I have assigned my m.fn to raw+jpeg h. when on that custom screen, if you press info, it will show you what your preferred quick file format is. I have set mine to jpeg. Now, I an switch from shooting raw to jpeg, and back to raw by just pressing the mfn button.
please share yours.

Cfn2..Camera icon, second tab. Bottom/5th option. "Custom Controls" "set" scroll to bottom right/last option "Multi-controller AF point selection", "set", right option "AF point direct selection", "set/OK".

This will toggle your focus points back and forth from "last selected" to "centre" using the joystick.
