I'm a fan of Lowepro. I don't own any Think Tank bags and can't speak to their durability, but I can say Lowepro's designs are far more attractive.

Check out my feedback here.

I have a Lowepro Slingshot 200 AW, Flipside 400 AW and Passport Sling. I really like the integrated weatherproof covers with the Lowepro gear. They are always handy and never get in the way.

I also have a ThinkTank Airport Acceleration, Urban Disguise 60 and Skin Set with Pro Speed Belt and Pixel Racing Harness. The V2 upgrades to the backpack and harness address some of the issues I have with the V1 products, which I have, and demonstrate that TT did not get it right first time. I also dislike the loose weatherproof covers for the TT stuff. They waste useful storage space or run the risk of leaving you high and wet if you leave them behind. Or they could simply get lost.

The TT stuff looks to be constructed from superior materials and is smarter in appearance too, but for me the Lowepro bags I have are better designed for my needs. Certainly the Lowepro bags are easier to work out of on the move than the TT bags, which either need putting down to access stuff or put up quite a battle when trying to access gear. My TT stuff pretty much stays at home and the Flipside 400 AW is the big favourite for me when out and about.

Customer service is a moot point as I've never needed it for any of my bags. I have read that both companies stand by their products well. Call it a draw.

At the end of the day I think that making the right choice comes down less to the brand (between these two) and more to picking the gear with the right features to meet YOUR needs.

The TT Streetwalker series are great for storage but I use a Lowepro Versapack as a daypack with my rig ready to shoot with the easy access.
