Hey everyone,

I came across two birds in Bethlehem PA last week that I cant identify. I managed to get a few very poor photographs of them but they were extremely skittish and would only stay on the other side of the river. I followed them for some time, even under a bridge, trying to get closer but couldn't get anything better before they flew off. I have no clue what they are but they were pretty neat looking! Im going to guess it was a mated pair, they didnt both look exactly the same.

Thank you in advance for any thoughts or pointers on what they could be. Always learning. :)

Here are some heavy crops of the images so that you can see the birds in question:

Thank you very much! I looked and that seems to be exactly right. I just wish I could have gotten closer, they were neat. Never seen them in my area before this.
