Finally received mine. It looks like I've got 3069 shutters according to EOSCount. The camera looks pristine though. From what I can tell there's nothing on the viewfinder or mirror. Can't wait to take it out!

And we have a new leader!

haha, Yeah I thought I had taken the lead. I'm sure she will still perform fantastically though!

I'm considering a 50mm 1.2 refurb. How did these orders turn out as far as condition, etc.??
I bought a 15-85 from Canon refurbished and it had one small speck of dust inside. Other than that it was perfect. Any good or bad experiences? Thanks!

I bought my 70-200 2.8 IS mk II through Canon refurb and it was pristine. It came in a big box filled with custom foam so you don't get the original box, but aside from that, my lens was super sharp, not a scratch on it, and looked to be otherwise new. In buying my 5d2 and the 70-200 lens from them I wouldn't hesitate to buy again if the price was right. :). Good luck!

I think generally, everyone was pretty happy barring some viewfinder dust/fibers and a fingerprint.

I got a 5d2 with only 26 clicks. SOmeone got one with only 10. I imagine anything under 100 clicks are probably dented boxes that never made the showroom floor.

A few got ones in 1500-3000 click range. Those are probably returns, maybe people who upgraded to 5d3 after announcement.

In any case, the nice thing about the refurb I guess is that Canon is giving it another QC (if they do one at all). So you get that stamp of approval.

A buddy of mine though did get a crappy 100 macro, didn't fit right and kept giving him error codes.

I guess if the price difference is good enough, it's worth the look. If you don't like it, 14 day return policy. Of course, lenses are tougher because you don't have a shutter count, so no idea really how much mileage is on them.
