The box advertise the CF as being UDMA 6 whereas the actual card itself says UDMA 7. I've checked with the sandisk website and the only UDMA 7 card that was shown is the 128GB model. What's going on here?
In case anyone is wondering. I brought the CF from a third party reseller through Amazon.

I don't know if their website is anything to go by.

I recently bought what I thought was a 30mb/s Extreme SDHC from Amazon (not a 3rd party reseller), and got sent a 45mb/s Extreme SDHC UHS1. The only card I can find with those specs on sandisk's website or anywhere else on the web is an Extreme Pro. I highly doubt its fake, since its from amazon itself, but I've shot sandisk an email asking if it is legit anyway just in case.

Just wanted to update the original thread:

Just a heads up for anyone wanting to purchase a 16GB Sandisk CF card. Yesterday, I received my 16GB CF card in the mail and to my surprise when I opened up the package the card itself says UDMA 7. I spoke with Sandisk to verify it's authenticity and this is what they had to say;

"We have reviewed the pictures of the memory card and verified the details. You have a legitimate SanDisk memory card. Earlier we used to manufacture UDMA 6 memory card which you can see on the packaging, however you have received our latest memory card which is UDMA 7."

I never shop for memory cards on ebay. I'v read somewhere that most memory cards sold on ebay are fakes. Some which even claims to be authentic just to turn a big profit for such cheap parts.

Stay away from Ebay for memory cards. You just don't know if the latter is a legitimate product.

Amazon is not a guarantee of genuine goods if you buy from a seller other than Amazon itself. I bought "genuine" batteries for my 60D from a Amazon seller and they were fake. The good thing is that the return policy is great so I returned them and bought again but this time directly from Amazon (I think they were a buck or two more). To ensure it's from Amazon, make sure it says "Ships from and sold by Amazon.com."

This eBay link (external link) is a good rundown on how to tell a fake card.

I just purchased card from power seller at Ebay and price was lower by $70 than retail price. So as soon as card came in I checked Read and Write speed and they were superb!

Second step was to contact SanDisk rep and they asked me to send details of packaging and verified card number on the side and they checked out just fine.

Third I went to BH Photo Video and noticed that their 90 mb/s and 100 mb/s cards have UDMA 7 logo as well. So I guess there are some UDMA 6 and some UDMA 7 cards with 90 mb/s transfer speed. I really don't understand why box and card numbers are different but I got exact same package as STi-R and everything seems legit.
