Beach Camera but not from Fleabay. They are authorized Canon dealer and currently have kits in stock, not single bodies.

Ahh...I don't think I'd get a kit this time around. Harder to get more than the $800 price difference from the 24-105 these days - especially with a lot of them hanging around.

You know what sucks, I bought 24-105 in February when I wasnt planning on buying Mark 3. I am still going to flip new one and I make up the difference. It all depends on what kind of channels you run it thru.

By the way, you should explore the bundle that I bought - for $100 more I got a few things and it was 32GB CF Sandisk Extreme card that was ~$120 @ B&H, $25 extra battery, $50 Canon brand bag (flippable for $40), garbage filter set, cleaning set and yesterday (when I shoulda bought it) they even had generic 5d mark II grip bundled :). I woulda flipped it for $50 :)

The flip flops, this is how we do it.

I stopped by the Calumet Photographic in Philadelphia yesterday and they had one they are renting.
Someone had rented it over the weekend and it was back.
He brought out a 24-70 lens and I put it on and got to play with it and the AF for a few minutes.
(No CF Card)

WOW!

It feels different than the 5d2 that I have.
Almost, I don't know how to say it, almost plasticky and inexpensive on the outside.
Yet the functionability is flawless!

I Want one!

NOW!!!!!

I would have thought the same thing, but up here in the GTA there are loads of people asking $1250+ for their 24-105 lens. They don't even hide the fact it was from a kit, and no box etc. Its hard to say if they are really selling them, and for how much in the end.
