I'd like to make a cheat sheet for my lighting ratios like the Speedotron packs have painted on the side. Could someone tell me if this is correct and if it's not, what am I doing wrong?

Ch = Channel
A or B = Channel A or B
A1 or A2 = Socket 1 or 2 of Channel A

Please let me know if you can't view the Google Docs worksheet.

Not sure if I am reading your chart the way you intended. This seems to be wrong:
2 Lights A & B Ch Ratio'd
Each channel is independent of the other. So if both channels are at Full power with a single head in each channel, each head receives 400 w-s, not 200 w-s. If only a single head were plugged in to one of the channels, it would still receive 400 w-s.

And if two heads were plugged into ChA and one head plugged into ChB, each head in ChA gets 200 w-s at full power, while the head in ChB still gets 400 w-s.

I got the top part. Is the bottom with Ratio only? If it's combined with one in A and and 2 in B, it would be about 266w/s?

Thanks Wilt. You're my hero.

The last paragraph described the Ratio'd configuration. If the last configuration were Combined, three heads would equally divide 800 w-s at full power setting.

I could be way off base since I don't have a dynalite pack but based on other packs that I'm more familiar with (and making an educated guess), I think the power is distributed more like the following:

Of course, this is assuming that the A or B power switch can be turned off completely. If not, then ignore that part of the chart where each is turned off (indicated by a dash "-").

Thanks guys.

There was a brain fart on that one. I didn't realize that when combined, the toggle switched on both sides adjusted the power. /facepalm

So lowest power with two heads on 1 channel with the ratio setting and dialed down 2 stops with the variator would be 12.5. Not too shabby.

I'm looking at maybe a 400-500 w/s pack for my next one.
