So, you may ask, "What is SDD?" An acronym I coined just in honor of Mark (who now gets it) - Sparrow Deficit Disorder! And here are some recent captures of one of my favorite Winter Sparrows - the White-throated Sparrow.

I'm hoping that everyone enjoyed these images enough to feel like leaving comments and critiques. I especially hope that you, Mark, enjoyed them as the primary known sufferer of SDD. Here's to you my Friend!

I really like the one you shot through the branches.
But they are all very well done.

Steve, I was looking through this series and more than once thought I picked a favorite. When I reached the end it became apparent you left a great one for the grand finale. The third would have topped this list if there were more to the top and the head not centered. That shot has so very much going for it. The IQ is the best.

Much appreciated Craig. I am having a lot of fun and success using that little blind; it's very relaxing.

You're too much Fee! They're definitely hard to track down. Hope your monitor survived - :)

One of my favorites too Jeremy and thanks for the nice comments. I really like peek-a-boo images when I can get them.

I've lived here 13 years Andrew and only first saw them last year. Now I know to look for them! I like #5 too because it's perched....and thanks for your nice compliments.

I like #3 a lot too Lillian, but truth be known I was trying to hide the chickweed background - :). Your comments always mean so much to me.....thanks.

I appreciate it Mek. He/She did do a nice job in #3 of turning right into the light for me.

SDD lol! You're right Steve, Sparrows are lacking here. Those are excellent shots of White Throated Sparrows, you've really captured the feather detail on the birds.
I feel bad about not commenting sooner since you kindly referred to me in your OP, truth is I've been so busy this past week I've not picked my camera up and scarcely had time to look on here. Thanks a lot for the kind thought :)

A tough disorder to have, but most live through it... :) excellent shots Steve... varied and beautiful poses of my favorite sparrow, they nest on my ridge and have a magnificent song.
