Not sure where to post this, but has anyone built their own home built studio?
I am moving house on Thursday and the house we are moving in has a decent sized side garden, just big enough for a small studio (about 3.5mtr wide x 8mtr long x 3mtr high).
I will be mainly shooting models and still life in it and was wanting any tips by those who have built one themselves.
Is there anything that worked? anything that you wish you did but didnt?
I will build a small changing area, it will have plenty of power points, i will make one of the beams in the roof reinforced so i can suspend things/people from it. I will also try and make a loft/attic area for storage at one end (opposite end where the backdrop will be). I was also thinking about painting it all mid tone grey so i dont get much light bouncing around.
I would also like to make it suitable as a wet room, so i can try water shots like this by marc de roo http://www.markderoophotography.com …sel%20Mark%20de%20Roo.jpg
(if this link is against rules then please delete). But not sure if it will be too complicated or not as i will need a waterproof flooring and drainage.
