The owners of canon 5d (5d markii) and Newton bracket FR3, have you enough place to attach remote switch such as canon 80 n3 behind of 4-101 Vertical Platform? Thanks.

Have you called and discussed this issue with Robert Newton, who makes the Newton Bracket? He is a very accomodating person who can offer you with alternative solutions, including some customization when needed!

I agree with Wilt... Robert has a great engineering mind. I live close enough to his shop that I was able to drive up when I bought my FR3. I have a G12 so it's a much smaller body than what most of his customers have and he was able to make a small modification to the bracket in just a couple of minutes so I could center the camera under the flash.

My point being, if you need something special, Robert will be able to understand your concern immediately and will be able to find a solution too.

Yes, I was in contact with Robert. He said that the 4-101 can be moved out about 3/4" so he would assume that the 80n3 which has a angle connector would go in OK. But he has no the 5D to try. So, I would like to know an opinion of the owners in practise.
