I'm sure there isn't anything new about this camera that you guys don't know already. Here's their review on the 5D MKIII for anybody who hasn't seen it yet.

I believe it was a very fair assestment of the improvements of the mk3 and how much money Canon wants for those improvements.

It's funny that the guy with the nikon strap said it's worth the money to buy the 5DMKIII. But when Kai said "would you use your own money to buy it" he said no it's not worth it..LOL.

Pretty much the conclusion I came to. Is the 5D3 a better camera? Absolutely. Is it worth twice the price of the 5D2? For me...hell no.

haha I had a chuckle at that...it's true, though...would I suggest it to someone? Absolutely! Am I gonna shell out three and a half grand for it? Hell no!

This is almost like the iPad2 and iPad3 comparison and the 550d and 600d comparison, really not that much difference (for me). I must say that the only thing "as of now" that makes me say "wow thats sick!" on the the mk3 is the amount of AFP's. I think that is a huge improvement for the cam vs the 9 afp's on the mk2. Is it worth for me to make the jump? No, not really the mk2 still holds it's spot in my book.

But If I could afford to stay up top with the latest technology then yes I'd buy it. But I'd go broke faster then I know it.. Lol

It's a beast no question about that!

I like these guys reviews...

Except that every new ipad that comes out is the same price as the first one i wish canon would take a hint from apple and sell there new one for the same price as the first.

Yet the general trend is that electronics become less expensive and more feature capable (witness the LCD television or Blu-Ray players).

....the best camera is the one you have on you at the time.

Yes indeed, but Canon is obviously dead set on fighting that trend to the last penny! Looks like they don't like this trend very much.

It is not just the 5D3. Take a look at the price tag of the new 24-70L II.. $2300. lol.

Canon can and will continue with their crazy pricing, as long as their buyers continue to bend over and take it!

I am not one of them. Not any more. :)

Think it was a decent assessment that reaffirmed my thoughts.
And I thought the 5D MKII was overpriced HYPE - I might consider the MKIII if it were in the $2500 range the MKII was but cannot see paying PRO body pricing for a 7D body.
If I go full frame I will look to the 1DS!! (or possibly the 5D MKII now they are clearing out!)
