EDIT: I reworked the two photos so the original comments might not make sense.

Ok many of you know that I live in China. I was asked to shoot a Chinese wedding which is not my favorite thing to do as most of your time is spent just shooting pictures of the Couple with every relative and friend they have ever had. They shoot the formals months before the wedding so the day of the wedding there is little time to be creative as the couples are not interested in doing fun shoots.

That being said. I shot this couple in between family and friends coming up to have their photos done and then when I got home I played with them in photoshop to help enliven them.

Here is the SOOC nothing too exciting

Then I took it into photoshop and played just for fun

Here is another where the bride was just standing waiting. She was not posing and it was a quick snap and is not tack sharp but I played with it anyway.

I would love to hear your thoughts positive and negative knowing that not everyone likes this kind of thing that is OK.

In the second processed image, there are very distracting splashes on her face. I would try and remove them, otherwise it's a pretty cool concept. I tried something similar, but not with wedding photos. Very cool nonetheless.

I like it but I find the splashes behind their heads distracting in the second photo, and in the forth photo I agree the splash on her face isn't working.

Keep at it!

Thanks for the honest critique. I agree I saw the splashes after I posted on her face and thought since I was just playing I would not worry about it at this time. I will probably go back and fix it if I decide to show them. I was just not sure if a wedding photo was a good place to do this or not. Was bored processing all the family shots.

EDITED: I updated the photos and relinked them in the original post to save on space. The first I lightened the splotches behind their heads ( I tried removing the splotches altogether but that looked odd without any texture there) and in the second one I removed the offending color splash that had encroached on her face.
