For some reason that is beyond me, the Nuthatch, despite its common numbers and relative approachability has succeeded in not letting me get any good shots of it whatsoever.
Well, after seeing all these wonderful nuthatch posts recently I was on a mission to get me a good shot of one. Went out with Wayne (who knows all about my predicament with this species) Sunday and wouldn't you know it...a cooperative Nuthatch! This was one of many decent shots I took.

I also include here a bonus Chickadee just for Petkal (sorry Peter, I ran out of Velcro with the hawk therefore I had to settle for this wild, free one;) )

Persistence Daniel and patience pay at the end of the day.
Well done

Great shots Daniel. Sorry that I didn't get out with you two. (I've sent you both a PM about what happened.) Perhaps next time.

Beautiful shots Dan. The snow and evergreen environment in the background adds to the Nuthatch photo and the detail on the bird is right on. The Chickadee is very nice and the bokeh is very cool. I got a few good shots of them along the Ottawa River Saturday morning while it was lighlty snowing which I may post at a later time. Got some quite good ones of the domesticated  ones in my yard as well.

Gary Fairhead C/C welcome .....

Those are gorgeous. You always capture them well.
