My rep just told me Canon dont repair anymore those body (no more part). In close future the 1D2n is following.

Then I guess I'll cross the 1DS MII off my to buy list. The 1DS at $700-$1000 is an expensive paperweight but the 1DS MII at $1500-$1800 just sitting there equals OUCH!

Shame on Canon, wont service pro bodies that cost between 4K-7K not that long ago!
I know electronics quickly become obsolete with todays rapid advancements, but we're not talking tv's or blueray players here...we're talking a serious investment someone made on a creative tool. I guess it doesnt matter to the pro who earns a living with their equipment, but for serious amateurs, who may also have a sizeable investment in Canon glass but cant justify the cost of the latest 1 series body, Canon doesnt seem to care much...:cry:
