No use for artificial turf baseball fields

cause you can't get good dirt shots like this

I do miss being able to get good dirt shots

Not all of them do. I shot a HS playoff game last year up in Prosper,TX. The Whole field was turf. Base paths and all.

That's miserable. Sliding must be horrible. I can just imagine how many people get their lead foot stuck and sprain ankles.

As the old Astro Dome showed us turf is terrible on the legs.

Yeah....I did see the black rubber on that one ball field...just doesn't look right.
We do have that on our turf football field and I remember being amazed seeing it in pics during the first few games. Dirt and grass stains are just suppose to be a part of baseball like popcorn and peanuts and cold beers.

That just doesn't look right. Looks like a bad PS job or something. Whose idea was it to use rubber on a baseball field anyway?

That black dirt is just wrong on so many levels. I play softball in a league at a privately owned facility and don't mind a turf outfield but we are lucky because the infield is still real dirt.
