The return of the American Goldfinches (I don't think they ever really left)......

IMAGE: http://i407.photobucket.com/albums/pp154/vroompuppy/Avian%20Friends/CE4E0798a_1024x1024.jpg

And singing Carolina Wrens....everywhere!

I'm thinking this may need to become a series as I'm sure many of you have your own "Signs of Spring". I'm glad to share a couple of mine. Thanks for viewing and commenting as you see fit.

Steve, both are very good shots, but that Wren is extra special I think. Were you very close to it? Looks like it anyway. Great work.

Nice Goldfinch Steve! You brought out the best of him in early spring. Great pose too.
The Wren is a real cutie. I look forward to more of your returning friends. You've been seeing mine as they've arrived.

Levina, the Wren was about 25 feet away; and as always you're very gracious.

Much appreciated Craig. Looks like we may have a split vote on these images....I love controversy! ;)

You're very kind Lillian. I'm kind of anxious to see what comes through here and there too.

Two great shots there Steve, the clarity of the Wren and the framing and BG of the Goldfinch. Very nice indeed.

Hey Steve, here's what I think on that first one...The inclusion of the leaves is an excellent choice now if it only had the background that makes up the lower left corner it'd be fantastic. I think I see what you were going for with the bright background though.A spotlight sort of effect? It does work its just a tad too bright is all.Others will see it different Im sure.
One more bit a food for thought, a branch always looks more natural broken off as opposed to cut off.
These are my favorite two from your camp so far, keep it up and watch those highlights cuz Im gonna be on ya like a hobo on a ham sandwich.
