Hi,
I just picked up a CLP 60D. When I put the camera in live view, the image looks very clean and sharp...Then when I put increase the magnification it gets less sharp and I can kind of see the individual pixels twinkle a bit. Is this normal?

Mar 29, 2012 07:00 | #7 How dark is it? What you are probably seeing is just the noise in the sensor. When you are zoomed out you don't see it because the camera is downsampling the 18mp of the sensor to only 1mp for the screen, and when that happens you don't see the noise. When you magnify to 10x, there is very little downsampling going on and you are closer to seeing each pixel and you will see the noise much more noticeably. Cameras: 7D2, S100

When it is enabled and you view an image with overexposed highlights the overexposed areas blink. See page 192 of the English manual, down near the bottom "About the Highlight Alert" but note that even though this section seems to apply to movies it applies to both still and movie.

Mar 29, 2012 13:37 | #9 i get the same same thing, you are zooming in 10x so of course your are going to start seeing pixels, and the 'twinkling" is some sort of sensor boost that is going on so that you can see the image clearly.
