well, all the talk about the excellent high iso jpeg secondary to digic 5+ and 5d3. I shoot iso 6400 NR set to low, incandescent bulb, raw+jpeg. processed raw through acr 6.7 cr, and loaded in to LR4. picture style was standard.
first off, the white balance does not translate. I had tungsten on.
raw image had more Lumi noise but a lot more detail. after apply a generous lumi nr of 26, it has a bit less noise than the jpeg, and a lot more detail. It is still a fair bit better to shoot jpeg, for noise and detail (not even counting wb, and exposure latitude.
