They seem off and I am wondering if my Canon 50 1.4 isn't performing right. These were taken on auto and nothing done to them except resized in Paint and uploaded. What are some ways I can test it to make sure all is good?

the first one looks a little soft the second one looks better.

The 50 1.4 is normally pretty soft when shooting wide open unless you get a magic copy. The first one looks like it back focused.

I think they are OK,the only thing you can adjust is White balance,
try to set the right W/B to have a better color tone
