A critique of my own - the major halo around the bird in the 3rd shot (and to a minor extent the first two). Oversharpening, I guess. I went back and don't see it in the CR2 file (converted with DPP right to jpeg). I'll reduce the sharpening and try again.

There is no privacy anymore '-)...Liking the second and third images and not seeing the halo(s) you mentionned.

Thanks Gary. Now that I am on a different computer (another uncalibrated laptop), I see only a very slight halo in the 3rd pic. The screen I was using must have been set too bright, or with too much contrast, I guess.
