Hello POTN,

I came across this camera bag while browsing around Gadget Infinity for off camera flashes, from a company called CIESTA who makes Camera Bags and other camera acessories.

What attracted my attention this :http://ciesta.co.kr …9_com/product/2746-01.inc (external link) If is a Half Linen camera bag.

After discovering this, I am considering purchasing one although I already have some two camera bags, but this was exactly what I was looking for as an unobtrusive camera bag.

The price is 129.95$ on Gadget Infinity.

I just thought I would share.

Love the material.
I'm so done with ballistic nylons.

I regret buying my Tenba messenger bag. Truth be told, I've been looking for a kockoff bag for a while now and then this pops up!

I did feel the same way; bought my Tenba Messenger from Vistek several years ago. Since then, They have improved the insert in the Messenger bag. I bought one from Vistek; it transformed the bag from a briefcase to a real camera bag.

So I started feeling the way that you did, and with the different insert really changed my mind.

If all else fails, it makes a great briefcase. And no one can tell it's a camera bag. ;)

If I do go for this bag I will try to make a review of some sort. Id love a Billingham but I can't truly justify the 300+ purchase.

Its just over half the price of the billingham model its copying, pretty expensive for a knockoff, so hopefully its good quality :)

Even though I'm a billingham owner, I'm quite happy these are out there. Gives people an alternative (and I do think billinghams are a bit overpriced... but mine was a gift, so thats justfiable for me ). Looking forward to your review if you get it!

I don't have this bag, but I did have a Ciesta brand insert for a Domke F2 that I used to own. It was pretty good quality, definitely not cheap. Not top of the line either, but the stitching and materials were at least as good as most name brand bags I've handled.

People shouldn't knock Ciesta off just yet.
From the close-up shots of their bags (in particular, the leather one), it appears that their material and workmanship are better than Billingham's. Some of the details would even
make crumpler look cheap, and IMO, this is quite a tall order (sorry lowepro, tamrac, etc).

Definitely somethingI plan to look for on my next Seoul trip. It's kinda hard to shop just by looking at pics on ebay.

No one's knocking Ciesta?

But I wouldn't go as far as saying their quality seems better than billingham. I see a lot of uneven stitching and uneven edges on the leather trim in the photos.

You have better eyes than me. :)
Let's stop here before we get too silly.
Shopping based on website pics is kinda similar to ordering cheese burger at Mac D and hoping to get the same exact burger, like the one on the menu.

I've been to South Korea and experience first hand their workmanship. I'd say, their attention to details, for hand made goods and craft, is only (a close) second to Japan's. Wish the same is true for our country - got too many workers without pride working just for paychecks here.

Anyway, I plan to check them out in person, next time I go there again.

Well, Guys.
My sincere apologies for reviving this thread, but has anyone bought the ciesta half-linen bag and can now review about it?

Cheers and Good Day!;)

Was in Soul last week, didn't get my Ciesta.
Not due to quality, but price. Very pricey, try TUMI price range.
Workmanship seemed top notch, better than average crap you find at best buy (I'm looking at you, Tamrac and Lowepro)

Fashion; clothes, bags, etc, are more expensive than at the states - they all look cute, fresh and trendy, but pricey.
