Canon G2

Just picked up a Canon G2 in surprisingly good shape from Good Will for six bucks. I tried searching but is there a G2 thread? I want to see some images.

Also my CF cards don't seem to work... is there a place where I can get the older types of CF that will work with this camera?

I bet your cards are all too big. When this came out, cards were only in megabytes, not gigs.

Edit: Found out that it used fat16, which is 2GB max. You might get it to work if you format the card with a fat16 parition under 2GB with your computer .

I remember when I wanted one of these as an upgrade to my G1! And I paid an arm and a leg at the time for a 1GB microdrive.

wow sounds like a lot of work. I wonder where I can just buy one... I bet no one really carries type I and II anymore

Ebay. Just get something like 512MB or 1GB and it should work fine and be under $10. I bet if someone had a tiny card laying around, they'd give it to you. Perhaps a "wanted" ad on this site would work.
