Just this morning observed and captured the first "oddball" Warbler migrating through my yard. The Yellow-throated Warbler is not one I've ever seen here, although guides say they are Summer residents. Hopefully one or more will set up shop here and let me do a better job of getting some quality captures because these guys are very pretty.

Thanks for looking, and I hope to bring many more Warbler species as the Spring progresses. Comments, etcetera are always welcome.

Lovely looks and images of this beautiful warbler... well captured Steve... our warmer March weather has started the migration early with some birds, so I am hoping the warblers fly in sooner than later.

Looks great to me. The leaves appear to be a visual stage or platform for the subject. Like.

A very pretty Warbler Steve and fine shots of it too! The migration should really start cranking up in a week or two.

Send them straight north if you would, I have been looking and have not seen the migrators yet, even though it was a warm winter, I guess they still stick to their own schedule, great shooting!

I appreciate it Dave, and like you I've seen some species move on out a little earlier than expected. Hopefully to be replaced by others soon.

Thank you porkphoto; and I agree the leaves do set the Warbler off pretty nicely.

I'm ready Al, bring `em on! And I hope more like these too. Thanks for the compliments.

Thank you Mark; here's hoping I'm ready for more as soon as they arrive.

I appreciate your kind words Brad. I think you and Bret are right that even as warm as it's been the birds will move when they're ready.

Not so fast Bret! I'd like a crack at `em for a week or 2 before I send them your way. Thanks as always.

Nice shots Steve. Jeremy and I saw one today in Madera Canyon down here in AZ. Was at about 4000 feet elevation, and about 15 feet too far away from us! Hoping a few stick around here at the higher elevations so we have another chance at them this spring..

Time to hang a bird feeder or two around the yard.

That would be a great find Joel as I think these are pretty much an Eastern bird. Thanks for the compliment too.

You ought to go ahead and post Jeremy as they are considered rare out West. I thank you for your nice comments, but hope I'm not as excited next time.:)
