First off, I know it's a prophoto blog, so most may recognize it (i did customize it).

Looking to see if everything is working and where I could make improvements.

Thanks for taking the time.

Nothing wrong with prophoto, makes the layout familiar!

I like it. I like the colors, they fit the photography style perfectly and the fonts are a good choice as well. Page loads fast, no problems found clicking around.

The only thing I can think of is perhaps some sort of photo of yourself on the About page so that people have a feeling of who you are.

On the bottom of each page you seem to have some text that probably is intended as keywords for search engines, but they're visible and aren't clickable, and frankly look a bit odd (I'd recommend a SEO Wordpress plugin instead as those things go better in the hidden header HTML Meta tags);

Also, the main menu seems to have different casing of letters, such as "INVESTMENT" where the "S" is smaller than the rest of the text. Contact is the same. This may be the font though, and perhaps even your intention, just thought I'd point that out :)

Hi Shane - I took a quick look.....it loads well and looks fine to me. You have some nice work there.
You mention that you know it's a prophoto blog - do you feel that detracts in some way?

I think the style you picked suits your subject well. I'd have to agree with EC's constructive comments. One minor thing and not a biggie: when you click the drop down to view the wedding gallery, the baby picture stays top and center. You have to scroll down for the wedding pictures which is just a small thing. Do you have the option for the baby picture to change to a wedding image at this point? On a small screen someone may thing there is a broken link, not realizing they have to scroll

How do you feel about prophoto as a website builder? I'm considering a "redo" on my old site since it's some years old now I don't know how to code..... they appear to offer a decent package template at a reasonable price. I use Blogger in addition to my website - easy to manage and update - but I don't view it's "appearance" as a solid site image. Prophoto seems to fall in between a true, custom site, and something like blogger.

I've been looking through their templates - was it pretty easy for you to customize and/or change subject headers and titles?

Thanks EC and sapearl.

I added the picture of myself to the about page. The text at the bottom is for SEO plus I have it in each image as well. Something I am trying to increase my blog to the top couple of pages for around here. Soon as I switched and did minor upgrades and tags I went from page 9 to page 5....I just need to build more links.

The reason I mentioned it was a prophoto blog is because most people can recognize them....just didn't want anyone saying its a prophoto blog yadda yadda yadda.

I like the colours and fonts for newborns, but it is also my wedding blog as well. I know having 2 or 3 websites and blogs is easy and some would recommend splitting them, but to be frank, I don't want to have to worry about SEO for both of them.

Since I had a free wordpress blog previous to this, I can tell you that prophoto blogs are dead easy to build. With a click of a button I can have 12 different looks keeping all the same blog posts...you just need to fix the headers, footers and links (minutes of work) and you have a new blog....wish I had of started with them instead of pulling my hair out with the regular wordpress blog. Once you move to prophoto you'll be super happy.
