Looking to use my 5D II and 16-35mm on a vertical rail system. Trying to capture large underground formations without distortion, etc. Purchased the 17mm TS-E but am now thinking that I might be able to get the shot with the camera mounted on a rail system and 'shift' the entire system on the vertical rail and then stitch the images together fairly easily. Am I thinking in my right mind or? Ideas? Kits? Meds?
