but if you list at your lowest then everybody will still ask you what's your lowest!!!

Since people here love to haggle...I always make it a point to price my stuff a little higher than what I really want to get. so I still have some bargaining space

I don't think people love to haggle, I think they love the idea they are getting a deal which is why they haggle. If they could get the feeling they were getting a good deal without haggling I am sure they would do it :D

I guess I should abandon my morals and post like all the other dirt bags out there. I list my prices as all inclusive, shipping, insurance, paypal, everything is already included in the price. THen people try to talk me down to the NET price other people list. I am like, sure, I'll do that price if you pay for shipping, insurance, and paypal. Then I calculate it out for them and they realize they are better off just going with my initial price, lol.

You should learn to play the game. You're asian for gosh sakes. When I'm in LA, all I do is haggle!!

Stick to your guns, and you may find that prices can drop fast. Especially body prices.

I haggle if it makes a difference. When I buy a car, I haggle because I can save thousands. People here haggle over like $5. Seriously, my time I spend replying to your retarded PM is worth more than $5.

I am selling a body that I don't think is dropping any more. A like new Elan 7. A friend of mine bought it new, never used it, just sat in a box. He doesn't want it sitting around anymore so he asked me to sell it for him. Amazing condition, never used film camera. I am tempted to just buy it off him myself, lol.

When I bought my flash I had been watching the prices for awhile. One guy priced his on the low side of the average prices and I saw that he lived in Michigan. I PM'd him and asked what the price would be for a local pick up. The price drop he gave me was consistent with what the shipping cost, time, and effort would be. That weekend I drove down to his place, checked out the flash, used his computer to do a paypal transaction as a gift to avoid fees (the money I had set aside for the flash was all in my paypal account) and drove home with the flash.

I never accept or send with gift. It is against paypal's terms and it is dangerous. I also rarely drive anywhere to pick up. Even a 25 mile drive will cost me $6 of gas these days. I can send a lens across the country for $6.

Complaining gives me therapeutic relief tho, therefore it is worth it. It is called venting ;)

Responding to idiotic PMs just makes me more angry.

Will do, I think smugmug is also $60? I just mainly need ease of use more so and right click image protection.

Ok, think I'll go with smugmug just cause I can get it for $48/year as the middle plan. I'll check zen before though.

They both have free trials. I'd try em first. I personally like Zen's layouts and stuff better. I would consider not just on price. Zen has $50 a year unlimited hosting. The difference between $2 over a whole year is really negligible.
