I guess if you have it in your hand it is fine :D

Even if shipping is $50, it is better than driving for me assuming the drive is more than 2 hours. I guess if your time for driving is free, the wear on your car is free, and you enjoy driving, maybe it is ok :D

You sure sound like a city slicker when you talk about wear and tear on you vehicle for a small road trip! Vehicles are designed to drive. City driving is absolutely horrendous on a vehicle, taking it out on the highway is the best thing you could ever do for it.

Say the trip was 200 kms. I change my engine oil every 8,000 kms, so it would take 40 of those trips to equal 1 oil change interval. My tires lasted 146,000 kms, so that would be 730 road trips. It was a nice day so I didn't use any washer fluid. The transmission fluid is good for 100,000 kms. The differential oil is good for 166,000 kms. The fuel filter is good for 50,000 kms.

Other than gas, the trip cost me about $1 in wear and tear. I used to drive that far 5 days a week when I was in college. Same as when I worked at Subaru.

When I bought my new truck I put 800 kms on my Dad's truck. Towing a car hauler trailer, which I put a full sized truck on for the trip home. I even made a detour and visited Martin.

$1 isn't free is it? And I think $1 is pretty optimistic, that is assuming you do all the work on your car yourself I am guessing? Higher milage also affects resale does it not? So unless I plan to drive my car into the ground, there are small costs.

200KM is not worth my time or drive unless I am saving a considerable amount of money. I could prolly ship to Canada for less than a 200km drive (just gas). I sold my Sigma 70-200 f2.8 to a guy in Canada, shipping cost me $30 I think. That is about 250km worth of gas so that would be a 125km there and 125km back. I send to Canada for the cost of a 125km distance drive? I'll ship and support my country's post office instead of support OPEC with driving :p

Wait - so how do you disable it? I think I'm going to go with Zenfolio since it's cheaper, I may also choose the $100 option just so my friends can buy the photos and I can try to find a secondary source to print it from Zenfolio for them. I just gotta set it all up first.

Whatever. You obviously do not enjoy driving.

Your car must really suck the gas! My OLD truck would go further than 250kms on $30 of gas.

And yes, I do all my own work. $1 is realistic. An oil change would cost me about $10 for the filter and oil.

you do it on the Owner side site... you can click Customize View or Preview or Visitor View.

You choose Customize, and you take it from there. you can choose which folder to lock and which folder to open...or you can setup a single profile and make it a default for all your folders. With the $100 Zen package you can also upload a Watermark that would automatically watermark all your photos in a folder.

its very easy to customize :D

Ah ok! I'm going to be uploading photos soon and customize and play around then. I used to have a Zenfolio but then I still wanted to use flickr and I don't know, just never got around to uploading to Zenfolio and whatnot.

Flickr is nice if you just want to share photos... its quick, easy and pretty simple too. But if you want some kind of a storage vault, I think Zen or SMugmug is a lot better. :D

Yeah, I don't want to just have my photos on my computer, I want to be able to store them there also and if need be not have to set it to private cause I don't want it to mess with my photos I want that are good on flickr by setting it to private.
