It has taken a lot of work to build up the endurance! I became sick in february for 3 weeks and basically lost a lot of the work i had put in over the winter so it took almost 2 months to get back to feeling good :D

The 1.2 is solid! I like Madones but when i upgrade to carbon i will probably go with a european brand. Lots of nice ones out there. :D

Ahh I see. That's great then! Do you do any races?

Yeah, but it's shifters are old school
That's true. It's going to cost a shia tonne though

Nah, he's not a climber. He's a noob. :p

:lol::lol:

You need to come out here man! Put you on these Gran Fondo rides :D or You could do the Levi ride out in Cali! !

Im still nursing a sore right hamstring :( I have to give up softball until the fondo is over. The twitch required due to instant go is not good for the hammy :(

That Levi ride is INSANE.

I haven't been on my road bike in like two weeks, I was out of town last weekend, and this weekend well... just no motivation. I did MTB a bit on Friday though. I need to replace my Front Derailleur shift cable though... which means replacing the grips, and well I might as well replace the rear cable too, but I think that's routed internally, so probably not something I'll do myself. ugh.

Im registered for this one:

http://www.granfondony.com/course.php (external link)

The race is on the 4 timed climbs. I have no shot at those prizes because professionals from around the world are registered as well. Finishing with my teammates is good enough for me :D

Whats wrong with your shifters?

Yeah although i might get a "deal" on a pinarello in a few months. We shall see :D

Damn on not being out there :( No rides to register for in your area? That is what truly keep me going during the year.

How was the MTB? I did some cyclocross today...not by choice on my bike

What is happening with your front derailleur?

Yeah.

Not right now, there was that 3 day 325 miles / 22k feet of climbing ride this past weekend, but yeah well... I think you know what I didn't do that.

Most of the rides here are in the fall.

MTB'ing was good, it made me want to get a nice MTB. But yeah, I've been there where you have to cyclocross on a road bike, no fun.

I was adjusting the cable and it just started to fray a bit.

Last year we had team BMC 15-time Tour de France veteran George Hincapie, who was born in queens, participate. He was the only one allowed to be in a non GFNY jersey for obvious reasons  and was on his team issued BMC. You can see him below right at the front of last years start .

Uggh! Those shifters are TERRIBLE!!! I cant imagine having to reach up there if im riding on the drops!!!

Um yeah on that 325/22k ! I like living

Damn. For us hear the rides start in May and go through early October.

NIce! Are you going to go for a MTB?

That blows on the cable. Shouldnt be too much to have it done at the shop.

Exactly.

Ah, yeah too hot here. :p

I think so.. I just don't know if it will be before or after a road bike. I want a Tri bike somewhere in that mix too.

Yeah, it should be pretty cheap, I'll just be without my bike for a bit, it still works fine right now, I just don't want to get stranded somewhere without a working front derailleur. :p
