Haven't ripped anyones clothes off in a while
i'm out of practice.
I tried gluten-free for 2 months. It was TOUGH and VERY expensive! The best gluten-free stuff I found were gluten-free pancake mix (better than normal pancake mix, actually) and brazilian paõ de queso (made with tapioca flour, a byproduct of cassava).
Even though most people are not technically gluten-sensitive or intolerant, most people feel better NOT eating it.
Actually the type of wheat that is in our world today is not at all near to the type our ancestors ate. It spikes your blood sugar higher than simple sugar you would put on your cereal. So yes, most people ARE gluten sensitive by the simple fact that most people feel better not eating it. It affects people in really small but substantial ways. It's not expensive to go gluten-free if you just cut out all wheat products. Hard, yes. Do-able, totally! Except for my cake the other day, I don't eat any sort of grain/wheat products.
I highly recommend reading the book Wheat Belly. Lots of insight into why the wheat of today is making people fat and sick.
On another note, I'm having one of those days where I forget one thing, go back home for it, and then get across town to realize I forgot something else. grrr
