I had a good chuckle over it. Could apply to most any forum on any subject. The author did a great job of turning camera arguments into hammers though. Very well written.

Yeah, it's a funny article, and could certainly describe a lot of POTN "interaction" or, as has been mentioned, any forum about any field that stirs up some passions the way photography does!

Now, I know that some folks from LensRentals do spend some time here on POTN, answering questions and sharing info and such, but as to the author of that article, I don't have a clue...maybe:)?

The only difference is people use a more sarcastic style in saying things instead of being direct on the forums

Very funny, thanks to the OP for sharing bw!

That sounds like every gun forum on teh interwebz. And SV Rider and ADV Rider. And every other forum too. At least POTN is civilized about it.

Heh! Roger is a member here ('course as a representative)!

In an earlier thread he actually chimes in:

https://photography-on-the.net …/showthread.php?t=1167389

Now, I'd be curious as to how many of these forums he's involved in...not just POTN for sure!

(I do framing for Habitat for Humanity now and then, and I don't own a really good framing hammer.)

A member, but not as a representative. I've been active on POTN and FredMiranda since before Lensrentals started. :D

I will jump in if anyone ever has a problem with Lensrentals, of course, or you can PM me, but mostly I'm here to learn.

And for the record: POTN definitely was not the inspiration from that piece. Dat Photography Review site maybe a bit. Things over here generally stay civil and constructive. :D
