I'm going to go with NaCl. It could be C12H22O11 or SiO2 but I'm more confident of the table salt...

Hehe. The C12H22O11 is sugar (table sugar or sucrose as opposed to the other compounds under that heading.) Si02, silicon oxide, is quartz or, in this form, sand. It's usually not that clear, though.
