I just sold my 1div yesterday for 3850. I bought my 5d3 for 3499. I bought a 7d for 1187 shipped (clp) to replace my 1div temporarily until the 1dx is released. might even keep the 7d.....who knows.

hmmm... so 5D3 is not fast enough for what you do, you need a 7d?

the 1div did the trick, sometimes getting a kart coming off a corner with a wheel up due to chassis flex takes more frames than you think. I come around the corner after the back straight doing about 80 mph with a slight backing it in style, and I expect my photographic subjects to be equally sophisticated in their driving mannerisms.

5d3 should suffice when I am not doing this however....

My new 1D MK IV arrived yesterday. I scoured the net but could not it anywhere. Finally I found one on newegg. It may have been their last one, because after I placed the order, it's gone from their site.

Since it's such a large camera, I'm considering a T3i as a companion for casual use.

When you see my camera gear you'll think I'm a pro.
When you see my photos you'll know that I'm not.
