Please let me know which pic looks better on your monitor in terms of contrast and brightness.

I'm on my laptop right now and they both appear to be pretty close to the same on here. I think that I prefer the second one though. My life is like one big RAW file....way too much post processing needed.

As far as which pic looks better...I like the face in #1 as you can see a bit more detail. I'd probably say overall #1. I do like the feather color in the 2nd though. Keep both of 'em! RESPECTING NATURE while photographing it...

You were very lucky to see/find it, a great catch indeed. Both photos are great, I like the first one better but the contrast in the 2nd shot is better.
