I always look through this thread, and never share, so i'm gonna change that, haha.

Kyle and Lindsey drove down from Michigan (to Cincinnati) for their e-shoot. Their wedding is up in Jackson Michigan and actually found our work through a car forum i'm on (ha!). Nice couple, tried some lighting tricks, still need to work on posing more. Gotta get back into the groove!

i'm used to shooting more natural light for e-shoots, but i had two assistants so figured i'd try something new. i'm not sure the added time / setup is worth the reward. they were happy, so i'm happy, but I post in here to learn, grow, and get better (dont we all?)

Number 6 will be stronger image if you crop or clone out that lamp post on the left. I tend to look over at it.

i'm always nervous about doing that, is anyone else in that bag?

plus if you clean up one, do you clean up all of them (which would take forever)? I'm afraid they'd take it the wrong way! eek!!

That is awkward, but you should mention it discreetly in your Pre Interview, and ask if they want that done. Most will want that, but some may not. You can bring it up indirectly, by a guiding question, like, is there anything you would like to see in your images, that I may be able to do in post processing. It is there, that a lot of folks may at that point say hey, yeah, can you do this or that. Its a professional shoot, so those type of questions are appropriate. It is even more so if someone is paying you for a glamor shot, or a professional modeling shoot. In that case, addressing that issue, or at least bringing up the options is almost mandatory. They should not be offended, they are paying you to be a pro, and should expect that.

You can always follow up on that by telling the honest truth, do you really think all those Hollywood stars look that perfect at every photo shoot? ...not.

I think the backlighting looks best one the last image, but I think where you really missed an opportunity to backlight was on #6. The darker backgrounds are where I really like to throw a little in there.

For example (I hope you dont mind me posting these here)

Just using a little rim light helps separate them out from the background in my opinion.

touche Roaming, I just had a bride ask me if I WOULD touch up shots in her day. I told her yes I can, but I can't for 2300 delivered images. Probably the "important" ones that I'd expect her to print, etc.

And Bryan ; i always enjoy seeing your work (and appreciate the c&c).

I agree with you, rim light definitely seperates them out, my trouble is hiding the flash sometimes, ist just depends on the shot. I've seen your 'dip' picture before and loved it, great balance.
