Looking for some feedback on the processing of these. There have been some wild fires around LA the past few days so I chartered a helicopter to get a few shots of the ethereal atmospheric conditions.
I really like all three of these images. I especially like the very muted, "washed out" colors in the third image, produced by shooting against the light in the hazy, smoky conditions. Over the past year, I have tried to shoot this way with some of my wildlife photography, and really like the results. You pull it off very well here.
One nit-pik I have, and it applies to all three of the images you posted. I would like to see a bit more subject matter at the bottom of the frame, and a bit less of the sky at the top. Maybe this wasn't possible because of distracting elements that would have been present if you aimed the camera down a bit more, but I still think that the images look a little foreshortened at the bottom edge. Still really nice images nonetheless.
"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".
