Mr & Mrs OBS (Tanjong Karang padi field)

A birder friend in Malaysia was nice enough to take me to Kuala Selangor Nature Park and padi fields at Tanjong Karang. It was my first time being at padi field. It's.... borderless! Just beauitful.
Saw tons of birds and we came across this Olive-backed Sunbird couple. They didn't seem to mind my presense.

What a pretty bird Fee, and you're captions are a riot!
I really like the 1st and the last images. Both of those have very desirable catchlights, and the lighting in general is flattering to both the male and female. The yellow on the breast and belly is to die for, and matched w/the blue throat in the male is a fantastic combination. Very nicely done!

Well done Fee, thats a long way from Austin, what a trip. number 1 is the winner for me, great shooting!

Now, that is a great looking bird Fee. Fun narrative. For me, the first and last are the best. Good job. Did you find anyone else interesting that we might have the pleasure of seeing?

Your compliments are very much appreciated Steve. I was hoping to get the irridecense of his neck. That would have complemented the yellow even better.

Thanks Lilian. Yeah, over there i saw all kind of cousins of the birds from N. America. Like the Black-shouldered Kite resembles the WHite-tailed over there. The Brown Shrike is just a bit tan than the Loggerhead. Eastern Harrier VS Northern Harrier here. And of course, i saw the largest squirrel in S.E Asia. That fella is like 5-foot long from head to tail!!! Wish i had better images of them to post.

Thanks Craig. The birds' behaviors sometimes are very entertaining. I'm just glad i stayed long enough to capture that.
