I'm looking at this picture from another forum:
http://www.mu-43.com/gallery/data/500/PC240765.jpg (external link)

I can't tell what it is - but the rendering is different from a dSLR. Can someone help me figure out what it is? It seems to be in the details of the face or something - I can't figure it out and it's been bugging me for a while.

I honestly don't see anything different than what a DSLR typically produces.
I'd be interested in seeing what others think about this.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

Looks like an APS-C crop.

According to the EXIF it was shot with an Olympus E-PL2 (12 MP Micro 4/3 sensor, mirror-less, interchangeable lenses). I don't see anything in the image itself that would differentiate it from a larger sensor DSLR image.

Some Canon stuff and a little bit of Yongnuo.

It doesn't look any different. Just soft, may be too long shutter speed for handheld.
My friend purchased 4/3 Olympus last week. I took some indoor shots and faces on them were like on P&S. I asked him to switch camera to RAW and we went outdoor. He took pictures of me and I downloaded it to my PC and checked RAW file with LR. I zoomed in to my face.
It was as good as my Rebel with kit lens.
One of those pictures. I PP it for my blog.

I think what it is, is the color cast. That dress is putting a purplish tone to her face.

Just my opinion.
