SEC baseball: Tennessee vs. Bama

Haven't posted anything in a while, so I thought I would post my last game (double header due to weather). Rain returned at the end, but they played through it and swept the Crimson Tide.
These were shot with a D3s and Noink 400mm 2.8 (UT's stuff)....I've been spoiled by this combo. I used a 1.4x TC on the 400 under a porch during the rain. Flickr strips EXIF on the re-sized images, so feel free to ask about settings.

Nice shots. I really like 2 (favorite of those posted), 4, and 6.

The green grass in 7 looks really bright to me, compared to the others (part of that could be my crappy monitor at work though).

Could also be the ugly UT orange.... GO Gators!

Just kidding with ya on the last part, as a UF grad I couldn't resist throwing that in.

Oh boy, I figured this would come along eventually. Is it against the rules to post images from a Nikon? Nope.
I learned how to shoot sports on this very forum on a rebel XTi. I know and met people through this forum, so I will continue posting on this forum. If Nikon images offend you, then don't open my threads. I never understood the fanboi attitude with camera equipment.

Thanks for the comments, and I do see what you mean about the grass. I probably forgot to dial back the contrast on the rain ones.
