Bigma bug...

This cicada started screaming at about dusk last night. It was too high in the tree to use my Sigma 105, so I decided to try the bigma. The bigma couldn't focus as it was too dark, and I couldn't focus manually because it was too dark. So got the missus away from the telly to light it up with a torch so that I could focus manually.

Shot details: manual focus, manual mode F5.6, S=1/125s, ISO 400, FEC=+2/3. Mounted on a monopod. It's awful, but what an experience to get my first cicada...

Man, those cicadas are everywhere. You do have some interesting patterns on the back. Nice capture by the way.
