To any of you who might enjoy golf and shooting golf, there are some really nice images at www.masters.com (external link) website. No spam here, just a golf enthusiast who takes a camera to Firestone CC and the Bridgestone Invitational to shoot PGA players each year.

Some older film shots in both BW and color as well as a lot of shots from more recent Masters Tournaments.

Check it out for some shooting ideas.

It's a private club. You don't have to agree with what they do but it's their right.

OP: thanks for the link. I love golf photography.

Nobody will ever know if they do or don't.

Speculation is they've admitted the current CEO of IBM who is a woman because the preceding four CEOs were members. Unfortunately, she only "dabbles" at golf. Of course, it's not really about the golf, is it?

Private club. Nobody's damn business what they do.

Agree. The old stuff in that HD photo section were great. It always amazes me how good the film photographers of 40-50 years ago were!

I believe they've 'invited to join' the current CEO of IBM who is a woman.

And some great ideas for shooting at Firestone this year for me. I only go on the Wed practice round because it's the only 'camera allowed' day of the event.

Love it as well. Definite 'bucket-list' to-do item for me as well. My company used to buy up all sort of tickets and when customers couldn't attend they were given to employees. Not anymore!

Might want to check on the rules before you take your camera. Last time I was at the Master (Other than this past Weds...;) ) they allowed all lens in. They just didn't allow mono pods. This year, an I am glad I decided to leave the camera at home and just enjoy the day, they had a box at the gate that the lens had to fit in. It would fit a 70-200 with no problem. In 09 I took my 300 2.8....and that would not have been allowed this year.

Was a great day.

Firestone CC has been pretty reasonable. The only thing was a camera BAG wasn't allowed in. Camera, no problem. Bag = problem for some reason. Back to the car, drop off the bag, carry 7D with 70-200 and 5D with 135L.

What was funny is that (probably) because of my age and the fact that I had two cameras, I was able to shoot from some 'inside the ropes' spots with out issue. One of the amateur marshall guys says, 'Excuse me? You with the camera...' (thought I was busted). Turned around and there was a lady standing behind me with a P&S and he asked her to leave, but not me!
