I would like to hang my B800 with small umbrella from a stud in my basement ceiling for a backlight. Any suggestions on how to secure the B800? I've thought about sewing some sort of harness for it but am wondering if there's a more reasonable way to approach it?

Thanks!
Amy

Use a piece of 1/2" EMT ("thinwall" electrical conduit). Fasten it to the basement ceiling, pointing downward. The electrical department at any home supply store or hardware store would have the EMT - usually in 10-foot sections - and all the hardware you'd need to fasten it to the ceiling joists.

Merely connect the light to it like you would to a light stand. Just make sure it's on tightly. You could loop something (string?) around it as a safety line and connect the other end to the ceiling if you felt the need.

Thanks! I'll give it a try.
